It's that time of year again. Pumpkins are smiling on people's porches, families are flocking to corn mazes after hayrides, and the local "haunted house" staff are prepping their costumes for the ever-so-frightening scare for money business. Now, Halloween can be a fun time of year for kiddos and dentists alike, and we're known here in the community for the fun in recovery pathway..That being said, there are some costumes you might want to steer clear of when attending your annual Halloween Monster Mash this year. And I'm not talking about showing up to your friend's spooky get-together and realizing you're one of 7 other Harley Quinn's.
Let's review a list of costumes that might be considered less politically correct than this year's most popular superheroes...
1. I'm going to start off in the land of the obvious.. Cultural Stereotypes.
I really shouldn't even have to explain..Just don't be that guy..Not classy San Diego.
2. Whatever Politician is currently pissing you off...
As funny as you may think it is..that sexy nurse or french maid is NOT going to think it's as comical as I did...Uh, I mean you do...Trust me...
3. Sensitive Current Event Related costumes...
...Not cool man.
4. Anything Covid related.
Too soon... ...Still.
Aaaaand...
5. All I'm going to say here is just be careful when dressing up in the Halloween classic. The Ghost. Just avoid the point..always avoid the pointy head.
This may get my blogging privileges taken away...at least I'll still have my whit... ... never mind.
I truly feel that as long as you steer clear of these politically incorrect Halloween costumes, you'll be okay. With all that cringe behind us, I wish everyone out there a fun and safe Halloween. Make sure to keep your head up, take it one day at a time, and always remember to have fun in recovery. In the meantime, I'll be in the HR office, I might as well head there before they have to call me in after this publication hits the web.
I love you all.
Bye!
All I can say is "WOW"!!!!
