The past week started okay. My son was on the fence about coming up. Thursday I found out he was coming out and that made me happy. This would be the first time he'd ever stayed the night in my house in the past 16 years.
Friday he met me at the office to come out to my house. On the way out here we stopped and grabbed pizza and a few 2 liters of soda. When we got to my house, we ate some pizza and turned on a movie. After the movie was over we played a few games at UNO.
This brought so much joy to my heart. I was told I would never have him in my house overnight. And so was he told the same thing. My daughter told me she was ecstatic that he actually came to stay the night with us. I never believed I'd ever get the opportunity in my life again. One thing that Recovery has given me has been that anything is possible.
