Well, I didn't think my parts were going to come in this weekend. I had ordered them on Monday of last week. Then I found out they were coming from Texas. So when I woke up on Saturday morning I checked to see where they were and they had made it halfway already. At that point, I chose to go down to my dad's house. My dad has a heated garage and all the tools to change the parts I needed.

Not only was I going to be working on my car but we had some much-needed family time. I don't get to see my dad all that often. We always find something fun to do. This past weekend was kind of nasty outside so we played a bunch of card games.

Sunday we went to check the woodstove and realized the blower had quit working. So my dad took it off the wood stove. We soon realized just how dirty it was. I said time to tear it apart and give it a good cleaning. We tore it apart cleaned and lubed it. After putting it back together it worked like brand new. The car was done dripping melted snow everywhere. The garage was back up to 90° in no time. My fat self was dying for the heat. While in my dad's garage, I told him I wanted to start camping this summer. He said I have a pop-up camper for you. Then gave me a few more things for camping. Later that night we went to check on the water and it was gone and still felt like a desert.

Monday when I woke up the parts were out for delivery. This made me happy cause something was finally working out in my life. My dad's cousin showed up and we got to work. These old men just pushed me out of the way. My dad has always told me how to fix something. I knew how to fix my car but he wanted to do it for me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The driver's side wheel-bearing was stuck on there they beat on that thing for hours. Finally, they cut one of the studs off and used a bolt and nut to apply pressure. After a few more taps with the sludge hammer, it came off. The passenger side came right off the the bolt trick. We put it all back together. The test drive was so quiet I could hear myself think again. I went to take a shower and get cleaned up. While I was doing that my dad let my daughter go through his freezer and pick out some meats she wanted. We said our good-byes and headed home.
