I am in recovery, my sobriety date is 3/17/2015.
I finally joined the 217 Team. This was a easy but hard decision for me. It was a lot of no's, I cant, for several different reasons that I made up for several months. But after some long conversations, lots of questions, I finally said yes! This was the first time in my life I did not just have to jump in a job because I needed it like yesterday ya know. I also got to do something for the first time in my life and that was resigning from a job the professional way.
The feelings that I have felt in the last feel weeks have been empowering, and also gave me some growth. I was also sad for leaving my old job behind or feeling like a disappointment., because ya know I have been a disappointment more times then I can count. I was also scared of the unknown from my new job I was about to start, but excited for the opportunity to go work where they seen my value and wanted me to be part of. Thank You Corey for the consistent pushing me to better my self for my family. God also played a big part in showing me where I needed to go to open up the next door of opportunity's.

We do this event for people to come together with their families, have a dinner, and share our stories. It is a great way to connect with each other. Hope to see you at the next one on October 17th 2024.
